Company incorporation

Any person who wishes to incorporate a company in Mauritius is required by law to reserve a company name prior to incorporation. An application for name reservation and a notice of reservation of name is dealt with within 24 hours for domestic and Global Business companies provided that the necessary fees are paid.

Application form for name reservation is available at the office of the Companies Division.

The Companies Act 2001 governs all companies incorporated in Mauritius. The Act stipulates that in order to engage in any business activity a company must be registered with the Registrar of Companies. Click here to contact the Registrar of Companies.
