Scheme of Charge

The Department of Civil Aviation has introduced a Scheme Charge to recoup the cost incurred in the process of regulatory activities associated with the operation of aircraft and airports, such as:

  • Registration of Aircraft
  • Issuance of Air Operator Certificate
  • Issuance of Certificate of Airworthiness
  • Licensing of Personnel, Flight Crew, Cabin Crew and Engineers.
  • Licensing of Aerodrome
  • Conducting of Safety and Security Audit

Under Section 11 of the Civil Aviation Act, the Civil Aviation Regulation 2007 and the Civil Aviation (Security) Regulation 2008 have been amended to incorporate the new Scheme of Charge which has become effective as from 01 February 2010.
