| Notice to Aircraft Operators DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY REGULATION DEPARTMENT SSR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TEL: 603 2000 - FAX: 637 3164 NOTICE TO AIRCRAFT OPERATORS | Subject: Introduction of ‘Notices to Aircraft Operators’ | Number: 01/2002 | | Number of pages: 1 | | Issue date: 22 Oct 2002 | The Mauritius Department of Civil Aviation has recently reviewed the various methods of communicating with aircraft Operators for whom it has oversight responsibility. It has been decided that as there are many issues which apply, either completely or in part, to all Operators, that a single communications medium was required, and so the implementation of ‘Notices to Aircraft Operators’. These notices will be used by the Department to bring to the attention of Operators various issues in the areas of Flight Operations, Airworthiness, Licensing, and Administration. Flight Operations Notices will be issued on blue paper, Airworthiness on green paper, and Licensing and Administration on white paper. The notices will be used by the Department to advise Operators of actions required by the Department brought about by changes in the requirements of ICAO, FAR’s, and JAR’s, in so far as they will affect them. The notices will be used to pass on to Operators Safety information gathered from both the Industry and from other Authority’s publications. These notices will be addressed to the Chief Executive Officers of companies, who will then be responsible for the distribution of the notices to all staff who could have an interest in the information or who needs to take appropriate action in response to the notice. This then is the first of sequential numbered notices, and an index will be issued at suitable intervals, which should serve to clarify any missing notices. |
