FUNCTIONS OF THE COMMERCE DIVISION

      Administration

      Formulate and implement policies in regard to import and export of goods and services, the administration of weights and 
        measures and packing of sugar, price control and protection of consumers, issue of bakery licence, approval for the
        holding of trade fair and exhibition, the procurement of essential commodities through the State Trading Corporation.

       Carry out overall monitoring of the activities of, and co-ordination between the different sections of the Commerce Division.
