Aims and Objectives

1. To process applications for work permit and issue the work permits to expatriates within 30 working days.

2. To monitor the employment of expatriates in line with the provisions of the Non-Citizens (Employment  Restriction) Act 1973 and in accordance with policies of Government.

3. To process and issue recruitment licences to local recruitment agencies.

4. To ensure that recruitment of workers for employment in Mauritius and abroad is carried our in line with the provisions of the Recruitment of Workers Act 1993.
