Copyright Desk

The Ministerial responsibility for copyright matters in Mauritius has been assigned to the Minister of Arts and Culture since 21 September 2000.

Terms of Reference of the Copyright Desk:

(i)	Formulation of policies on copyright in Mauritius;
(ii)	Increase awareness of copyright in Mauritius;
(iii)	Monitor all international development in the field of copyright;
(iv)	Help all players in the field of copyright – MASA, Anti Piracy Unit, Customs and Excise Department, local and international artists;
(v)	Liaise with various Government Agencies dealing with Intellectual Property generally; and
(vi)	Attending to queries from Members of the public on copyright issues.
