NCB Incubator Centre: Services...
 


Services and Facilities offered at the NCB Incubator Centre comprise:



Logistics Advisory and Consultancy services


Office space: Office space offered is fully wired for broadband connectivity and equipped with power sockets, network points, air conditioning, lighting and wall to wall carpeted floor. The offices are built in modular units to provide room for expansion.
   
Internet access: Internet access is provided via an ADSL connection of 512k, which is shared amongst the start-ups. Separate ADSL can be catered for, should any of the start-ups require additional capacity.
   
Digital telephone system: The Incubator Centre is equipped with a digital PABX System and provides start-ups with their own telephone number, voice mailbox and executive digital handset .
   
Other facilities such as fax and photocopy services, common secretariat and meeting rooms are readily made available on a minimal fee basis.
   
Security: The Incubator Centre is located in a building which is provided with 24 hour security. In addition, access to the Centre itself is only possible through an intercom system and security access cards.
   

ADVISORY AND CONSULTANCY SERVICES

Technical assistance is provided for:

The preparation of business plans
   
The preparation of marketing plans
   
Assistance with running a business (strategic planning, financial management, accounting, risk analysis, audit control, customer analysis and relationship management, quality management, determining long term viability of business, human resources and legal issues)
   
Business finance (acquisitions, Initial public offerings, share issues, use of  venture capital, private placement and debt restructuring, project and structures finance)
   
Legal advice in areas such as company law, taxation, intellectual property rights, trademarks and patents, employment law, trade practices, business contracts and copyright issues
   
Technical guidance on emerging technologies in ICT
   



Guidance towards access to finance

Guidance towards access to finance such as government grant schemes and venture capital sources.



Assistance with identifying potential foreign business partners and clients

Tailor-made assistance with identifying potential foreign business partners and clients.




Seminars, workshops and Entrepreneur Personal Development Programmes

As part of a capacity building exercise, training and coaching sessions are regularly carried out for start-ups on specific topics such as financial management, web development, e-business concept and applications, emerging technologies, communications and presentation skills, company law, marketing and preparation of business plans. Such programmes enable start-ups to keep up to date with latest technologies and emerging trends in the ICT sector.



Marketing of the start-ups

The NCB markets the products and services of the start-ups of the Incubator Centre through its participation in various local events and international fairs. The NCB also assists the start-ups with establishing key contacts in view of potential business partnerships.    



Incubation period

An enterprise can benefit from the services of the Incubator Centre for a maximum period of three years.



Tariffs

A concessionary monthly fee is charged for the rental of office space including annexed facilities and services and the digital telephone system. Charges exclude photocopy and fax services, common secretariat and meeting rooms, which are billed on use. Fixed monthly fees for the rental of office space are as follows:
