Migratory Birds

Another important group of birds are the migratory birds. The six most common migratory birds that visit our island each year during summer are:

 Curlew Sandpiper (Calidris ferruginea)

Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus)

Grey Plover (Pluvialis squatarola)

Common Sandpiper (Actitis hypoleucos)

Ruddy Turnstone (Arenaria interpres)

Little Green Heron (Butorides striatus)
