APPLICATION FOR RESIDENCE PERMIT - TO STAY AS A SPOUSE OF A MAURITIAN

YOU SHOULD SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS

Application to Enter

» Mauritius Form duly filled and signed by you (the applicant).
» Two recent passport-size photos of self + for each dependant (if applicable).
» Full Birth Certificate of applicant duly legalized/authenticated by competent authority/ bear the seal of  "Apostille" of the Hague Convention of 5th October 1961 (where applicable).
» Full Birth Certificate of child/children. If born abroad, certificate should be duly legalized/authenticated by competent authority/bear the seal of  "Apostille" of the Hague Convention of 5th October 1961 (whichever applicable).
» Divorce Decree of any previous marriage/Death Certificate of ex-spouse + previous Marriage Certificate (if applicable).
» Photocopy of the data pages of your passport.
» Recent Certificate of Morality/Casier Judiciaire/Certificate of Previous Convictions which should bear surname and forenames as per your Birth Certificate.
» Civil Marriage Certificate. In case marriage was celebrated outside Mauritius, the Marriage Certificate should be legalized/authenticated by competent authority/ bear the seal of  "Apostille" of the Hague Convention of 5th October 1961 (whichever applicable).
» Birth Certificate of your husband, who should be a citizen of Mauritius and has not lost or renounced his Mauritian Citizenship + his National Identity Card.
» Letter from your husband, stating that he supports the application and whether he has/has not lost or renounced his Mauritian citizenship.  If he has acquired any foreign nationality, Certificate of Foreign Nationality to be produced.
NOTE:

Application should be made on the prescribed form “Application to Enter Mauritius "http//:passport.gov.mu".

All the above mentioned documents should be submitted in original for verification together with a legible Photostat copy of each document. (original will be returned after)
