Mission Statement of Youth Centres    (Youth, at the Ministry of Youth & Sports and as per International standards,        means  someone aged between 14 - 29 years).    Offers opportunities to the youth for their mental, physical and moral development.    Equips the youth with tools to face challenges of the next millennium.    Provides the youth with structure organisations to practise healthy and enjoyable          activities.

The Youth Section supervises the activities organised at the 24 Youth
centres  and 2 sub Centres situated around the country

These provide facilities to young people to have access to the services of the Youth Section. 
The Youth Centres are fully equipped and are meant to give maximum opportunities to young
people to indulge in healthy leisure, vocational and sports activities.

  To provide opportunities to young people to make good use of leisure time.

  To enhance Youth Exchange among youth of various regions and cultures for better 
     understanding, friendship and for sharing of experiences and knowledge so that they can face
     them and find necessary solutions.

  To offer Counselling Services to the youth so that they can better understand
     their problems and find  necessary solutions.

  To promote moral and spiritual values to create civic consciousness and patriotism among youth.

  To develop hidden talents and potentials among the youth.
