Medical Unit /Medical Tribunal

The Medical Unit functions under the aegis of the Ministry of Social Security, National Solidarity, Senior Citizen Welfare and Reform Institutions and is governed by the provisions of the National Pensions Act.

There are four departments functioning in the Medical Unit:-

1.Medical Board Department
2.Medical Tribunal Department
3.Eldercare Department
4.Services to Rehabilitation Youth Centre

Rodrigues

The Medical Unit sees to it that everything related to health promotion and disease prevention in Mauritius is replicated in Rodrigues.
For instance Health and Nutrition Clubs for elderly are already operational in Rodrigues.  Furthermore, anti-flu vaccines have been made available for Elderly and Disabled Children.
