INFOTECH 2012
The Annual Infotech edition will be held at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre, Pailles from 13 to 16 September 2012. Infotech 2012 would comprise product demos, an ICT exhibition and Career Guidance Corner, an ICT Job Fair, a Gaming, Shopping and Delivery Zone and various thematic Conferences.

ICT Skills Development Programme
With a view to palliating shortages of ICT professionals, the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology introduced an ICT Skills Development Programme to train unemployed youth in Mauritius for their eventual employment in the ICT/BPO Industry. It is expected that a workforce of 29,000 would be required by 2014 to further strengthen the ICT Sector.

Soumaila Abdoulkarim, Secretary General of the ATU
Soumaila Abdoulkarim, Secretary General of the African Telecommunication Union (ATU) has confirmed his participation in the second edition of the ICT-BPO Conference 2012. This will further enhance the development and cooperation between the ATU and Mauritius.
