England Riots: Hackers attack Blackberry Website over Police Help

A hacker group has attacked Blackberry's website after the company – ‘Research In Motion' stated that it will help the Police in the investigation of the riots in UK, as stated on the website of BBC News.

It has been reported that some of the rioters made use of the BlackBerry devices to plan their movements. As such, the company has decided to cooperate with the Police to track the rioters. The hacker group, ‘Team Poison' has defaced the company's official blog by posting a statement which said that BlackBerry's cooperation with authorities can lead to innocents being charged for no reason. They also stated that they have access to the personal data of BlackBerry's employees and threatened to release the information if the company provides the Police with any kind of help.

Despite of this, BlackBerry has confirmed its intention to cooperate with law enforcing bodies to track down and arrest protesters who posted “inflammatory messages”.
