An SQL Injection campaign is “literally going viral” and about 1 million URLs might be infected, as stated on the website of darkreading.com . According to the SANS Internet Storm Center, more than 1 million URLs were injected with the “lilupophilupop.com” malware. The attackers took full control of the affected sites via SQL injection with the string “>” . Several websites across the world have been targeted with most infections in the Netherlands “NL” domain. Other domains such as .com and .org are also included. Cisco has detected around 650 unique domains hit since “lilupophilupop” attack first appeared at the end of November 2011.
