Chaos Computer Club (CCC), the largest European hacker club has announced that it has located a backdoor Trojan used by the German Government, as reported on the website of F-Secure . By means of reverse engineering, CCC has analysed a “lawful” interception malware program which is used by the German Police Force. The malware is a Windows backdoor and consists of a DLL and a kernel driver. It has also been observed that a keylogger which targets certain applications such as Firefox, Skype, MSN Messenger, ICQ, amongst others, is included in the backdoor. The backdoor also have codes which can take screenshots and record audio, including recording Skype calls.
