A vulnerability has been identified in Linux Kernel and it can be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service. The issue is that an error occurs when CIFS shares is mounted with certain DFS referrals. This vulnerability can be exploited by remote attackers to trigger a “BUG_ON ( )” in a client by enticing the target user to mount from a malicious server.
