Japan's biggest defense contractor, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, has become victim of a malware based attack on Monday 19th September 2011, as reported on the website of ‘The Register' . Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is involved in a wide range of activities such as space rockets, production of jet fighters, shipbuilding and running nuclear power plants. The firm has stated that 45 network servers and 38 personal computers were infected with malware at ten facilities across Japan. According to the Japanese newspaper ‘ Yomiuri' , eight different pieces of malware were discovered at the Mitsubishi sites. This attack is considered as the first hacking attack detected in Japan.
