 Facebook Changes Privacy Options

Facebook has announced that it has made major changes regarding its privacy settings. In the coming days, Facebook users will have more control in managing their information on the site. The changes are as follows:

1. In line controls – each item posted on a user's wall will have individual privacy options such as public, friends and custom, as shown in image 1. This will enable the user to know with whom he or she is sharing information.

2. Tag takedown – this option will enable the user to remove tags of self or ask the person who tagged you to remove it.

3. Universal tagging - with this option, users can tag anyone, not just their Facebook friends. The user can then choose whether to accept the tagged post or not, as shown in image 2:

4. Location tagging – this option will enable users to add geographic locations in all versions of Facebook.

5. Profile view – the option to see how others view your profile is added above the news feed.
