“Giving
a Global Dimension to National Corruption
Prevention Strategies”
Our main strategy is
based on “Integrity of Systems
and People”. The focus is on
the promotion of integrity management, good
governance, ethical operations and conduct,
value-based education and trust building in
public administration.
International Standards
The CPED implements the
corruption prevention strategies
contained in the SADC Protocol and
the UNCAC with regard to our Mauritian
environment taking into consideration
the regional and international initiatives
in the fight against corruption. |

Nurturing a Culture of Integrity
The CPED promotes integrity, accountability, sound
management of public affairs and responsible behaviour at
organizational and individual levels and prompts corruption
prevention culture in the public sector.
Enhancing Public Trust
The CPED endeavours to maintain a high public profile
and “mind share”within the community by enhancing
public confidence and trust in the public sector. CPED promotes
and strengthens the development of mechanisms to prevent
and detect corruption in public and private sectors.
Networking
The CPED also promotes links between
ICAC and international organizations so as to
foster international cooperation and technical
assistance to ensure the effectiveness of actions.
Sustaining Partnership
The CPED builds networks and partnership
with all sectors of the population namely public
sector, private sector, government, youth and
all components of civil society of the Republic
of Mauritius. ICAC relies on this collaboration
to bring its messages in every nook and corner
of the society and prevents corruption among
the whole population.
