More than 600 persons comprising of headmasters, educators, parents and school children attended the function which was held in the Octave Wiéhé Auditorium, Reduit on Monday 6th December 2010 at 09 30 hrs.

 

 

Emphasis was particularly laid on the need for each and every one to participate in the fight against corruption and integrity building in the society. A play on the negative effects of corruption was staged by the educators and students of the R. Tagore Secondary school.  

The event was organised to commemorate the International Anti-Corruption Day 2010 and reward children who participated in the

  1. 6th edition of the short story writing competition for Std V and VI pupils
  2. 1st edition of the value-based drawing competition for pupils of Std I – IV
It is to be noted that these competitions were organised to encourage educators, parents and schoolchildren to talk about and live values everyday in view of the enhancement of personal integrity. More than 100 schools with around 1000 schoolchildren participated in the competitions this year.
