With a view to give a strong signal to the Republic of Mauritius regarding the necessity to support and sustain anti-corruption national movement, a national anti corruption event in the context of the International Anti-Corruption Day, was organised on the 9 December 2010 having as theme ‘Run the Flame of Integrity’.The flame represents the intensity of the commitment generated through past anti corruption initiatives on a national level. It also symbolically demonstrates the need to continuously sustain the anti-corruption movement to bring about a corrupt free society.

Around 1500 youth from different sectors of the economy were mobilized at the Mauritius Sports Complex, Rose Hill. All the participants headed by the Police Band together with anti corruption slogans walked to Plaza, Rose Hill, where a cultural programme was held to mark the International Anti Corruption Day.
