Abstract

Part I deals with the Preliminary of the Act, whilst Part II with the Constitution and Elections of local authorities.

Part III deals with the General Provisions as to Councillors, Meetings of Local Authorities and the Filling of Vacancies among Councillors.

Part IV deals with the Proceedings of Local Authorities, Committees and Association of Local Authorities. Part V concerns with the Purpose, Functions and Administration and Sub Part B is mainly concerned with the Services of Local Authorities including section 47 which deals with the collection and disposal of waste, section 48 with the sanitation and road works and 49 the abatement of nuisance.

Part VI is concerned with Finance whilst VII with the Tender Procedures and VIII with Documents respectively.

Part IX deals with Miscellaneous including the offences and the prosecution of offences and recovery of fines.
