07 December 2007 - “Sware Rakont Zistwar” at Le Morne Public Beach, Opposite Government Primary School, Le Morne Village, organized jointly by the Ministry of Tourism, Leisure & External Communications and the Le Morne Heritage Trust Fund in the context of the “Festival International Kréol 2007”

1 st February 2008 - Celebration of the 173 rd Anniversary of the Abolition of Slavery –– Launching of the “ Slave Route Monument Project”, Le Morne Public Beach

18 April 2008 – Arts Exposition at Le Morne Site Office by the school of Arts and Crafts of the Service d’Ecoute et de Developpement

18 April 2008 – Launching of competitions “Parole Sega” on the theme “Esklavaz, Maronaz ek Peyzaz Kiltirel Le Morne” & Painting on the theme “Slavery, Marronage and Le Morne Cultural Landscape” for secondary school children aged between 15 to 20 years old to mark the International Day of Monuments and Sites.

23 – 25 May 2008 - Exhibition of Sculptures at Le Morne Site Office by children of Le Morne Village.

Sunday10 August 2008 – Wreath Laying Ceremony andCultural Show at the Slave Route Monument Project, Le Morne Public Beach following inscription of Le Morne Mountain on 7 July 2008.

Tuesday 19 August 2008- cultural show held at Le Morne Public Beach, Opposite Government Primary School, Le Morne Village by Wadumbah Australian Aboriginal Dance Group.

Saturday 23 August 2008 at 16 00 hours - Wreath Laying Ceremony at the foundation stone of the Slave Route Monument Project, Le Morne Public Beach by the Le Morne Heritage Trust Fund to mark the end of slave trade.

Saturday 07 and Sunday 08 September 2008 – A painting Exhibition by the couple Bill and Linda Anderson in collaboration with the Le Morne Heritage Trust Fund.
