ENGINEERING COUNCIL MAY 2009 EXAMINATIONS

1. Registration for external candidates will be received at the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate, Reduit on Friday 28 November 2008 from 09 00 hours to 14 30 hours.

2. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (Original certificate/s should be produced)

a. Level 5 Certificate

The entry requirement to the Certificate is passes in two 'A' levels (or their equivalent) in Mathematics or Science subjects.

b. Level 6 Graduate Diploma

The entry requirement to the Graduate Diploma is successful completion of the Level 5 Certificate or academic achievement deemed to be of an equivalent standard.

c. Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma

The entry requirement to the Postgraduate Diploma is successful completion of the Level 6 Graduate Diploma or achieving a BEng (Hons) degree accredited by a professional UK institution or by being exempted by a professional institution licensed by the Council to consider special cases through an Individual Case Procedure.

3. Candidates are requested to call at the Syndicate to fill in the Registration Form and pay the necessary fees. They should produce their

- National Identity Card

- Birth Certificate (PHOTOCOPIES are not accepted)

- City & Guilds Notification of Candidate Enrolment Form.

4. The fees for the registration are as follows:-

a.	Local fee : Rs 116/- (to be paid in cash)
b.	Engineering Council fee
	-	Level 5 Certificate	£41.00
	-	Level 6 Graduate Diploma	£50.00
	-	Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma	£71.00

For the Engineering Council fee, payment should be made by bank draft drawn to the order of City and Guilds.
