CIE - HSC OCT/NOV 2009 EXAMINATIONS

PAPER GRADES

Following requests received from Heads of School, parents and candidates in connection with the above examination, please find below the following clarification stipulated at paragraph 7(d) in the Notes on Results Documentation for Centres in Mauritius issued to schools:

“The order in which the paper grades appear on the list corresponds to the numbers of the components taken by the candidate, the component with the lowest number appearing first”.

Examples for candidates who have entered for Computing 9691 and Design and Technology 9705 are as follows:

Therefore the order of paper grades on the Statement of Results will be as detailed below:

• For Computing - 2, 4, 11 and 31 and the courseworks grades appear at positions 1 and 2.

• For Design & Technology - 11, 31, 62 and 64 (62 and 64 represent courseworks marks carried forward).

Hence the order of the grades on the Statement of Results corresponds to the component numbers and not the paper numbers.

You are invited to help the candidates interpret correctly their Statement of Results.
