The Mauritius Examinations Syndicate (MES) is a corporate body set up by the MES Act No. 4 of 1984 under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Human Resources to organise and conduct examinations and to award certificates.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who wish to be considered for the post of Computer Technician.

Qualifications / Profile of Applicants

·        Cambridge School Certificate with credit in at least five subjects including English Language, French and Mathematics.

         OR GCE ‘O’ Level equivalents

 

·        Cambridge Higher School Certificate with Mathematics or Computing.

OR GCE ‘A’ Level equivalents

 

·        Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering

   OR Equivalent qualification

Role and Responsibilities

The role and responsibilities are laid down as per Scheme of Service.

Salary Scale:   Rs 14, 200 x 400 – 15,000 x 500 – 16,000 x 600 – 23,200 x 800 – 28, 000 x 1,000 – 29,000

Application forms together with the Scheme of Service are available (during office hours on week days, between 08:45 and 16:00 hours) at the Reception Counter of the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate, Réduit or on the MES Website http://mes@intnet.mu.

 

The application forms duly filled in and signed, together with photocopies of all Educational / Professional / Technical certificates and written evidence of any experience claimed along with a motivation letter   (in your own handwriting) and a ‘Morality Certificate’  should reach the Secretary, MES, Réduit by Thursday 16 July  2009 at 15:00 hours at latest.   The envelope should indicate clearly the post applied for on the top left-hand corner.

 

Only the best candidates will be convened for an interview.
