Fisheries - Marine Science Division

Goal

• To maximise economic benefits derived from the coastal zone.

Key priorities

• Study and understand the marine ecosystem and the hydrodynamics of the lagoon.

• Introduce measures for the sustainable use of coastal and marine resources.

Objectives

• to monitor the water quality, the reef ecosystem and current patterns to observe evolutionary trends over time and space.
