Obituary

The MRA deeply regrets the sudden death of the Secretary for Home Affairs, Kaviraj Rajnethre Mudhoo (also known as Raj Mudhoo) on the 17th of February 2009. He was in charge of the Home Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Office and was a friend of the MRA. He was always keen to help the MRA in its activities and has often acted as Chief Guest for different MRA activities. Raj Mudhoo spent his whole career in the public service, starting at the bottom of the ladder in the early 1970s and climbing to the higher echelon of the service when he became permanent secretary, Senior Chief Executive Officer and Secretary for Home Affairs. He has contributed a lot in restructuring the civil service and served on several boards and committees.
