MRA Annual Get-Together 2009
Aquatic Fun

After a year of hard work and dedication, the MRA Staff have met at the pleasant setting of Le Waterpark Leisure Village at Belle Mare on Wednesday 10th December 2008. The chief guest of this event, the Financial Secretary, Mr Ali Mansoor said a few words to the members of the Staff. He thanked them for their relentless efforts and talked about the positive results from the effective implementation of the Tax Reform Programme. Government’s goals of tax efficiency and economic buoyancy have been underlined by the Financial Secretary. Mr Mansoor also shared his views about business relations and the realizations of MRA. He assured the staff of this continued support for its activities.
The Director General of the MRA, Mr Sudhamo Lal addressed the staff during this occasion and expressed his gratitude for their support and dedication at work. He stated that after more than two years of operation, MRA has reached its cruising speed and will strive to optimize revenue collections. Mr Lal also thanked the management team for their assistance and collaboration, as well as the board for their guidance and the ministry of Finance and Economic Empowerment for their support.
The President of the MRA Staff Association, Mr Toolsiraj Benydin, stated that the MRA stood up to the challenge and mobilized resources to achieve its set targets and objectives. He expressed his views on the salary commitment of the MRA and wished that 2009 will foster relations between the management and the Union.
The master of ceremony for this event was Mr Tegharassen Moorghen, Officer in Charge of the Taxpayer Education and Communication Department.
