General Information for Electronic Filing of CPS Statement of Income for the quarter ended 30 September 2011.  
 

To use the e-filing facility, you must have Adobe Reader version 8.0( or above) or click here to download.

You will be allowed to file only one CPS Statement of Income.  In case you wish to amend your CPS Statement of Income, please submit a paper statement downloadable from our website or available at MRA service counter, Ehram Court.

Notes to CPS

 
1.
Filing of CPS Statement of Income  

Ensure that you have all the required information before you begin. No document need to be submitted if you file electronically, but ensure that all required information is inserted. While filling the CPS Statement of Income, please insert a valid e-mail address in order to obtain an acknowledgment confirming that your CPS Statement has been received by MRA for further processing.

On inserting your Tax Account Number (TAN), the CPS Statement will be displayed on your screen with your TAN and your surname and you will not be able to change any of them.  If your surname is incorrectly written, click here, to download a Change in personal data form and send it to MRA.  You will have to input your other names.

 
2.
TAX PAYABLE: Mode of Payment  

On completion of your CPS Statement, tax payable will appear at Section 10 under PAYMENT OF TAX. The payment can be effected as follows:


(1) At MRA Counters,Ehram Court, Cnr Sir Virgil Naz & MgrGonin Streets, Port Louis, opening hours are 9.00 hrs to 15.30 hrs. Payment at counter from Monday to Friday may be made by Cash or Cheque. Please ensure you have your Tax Account Number (TAN) and the amount of tax to be paid while effecting payment.


(2) Payment of tax by Direct Debit. Individuals wishing to pay their tax through Direct Debit should fill in an "Application for Direct Debit Form" and send it to MRA Head Office by 15 December 2011 at latest (office hours) for onward processing to your bank.

If you have already obtained approval for payment of income tax  by direct debit, you should not send a new one. You should ensure that your bank account has sufficient funds as from 28 December 2011.


(3) By Post :- Cheques drawn to the order of the Director General MRA crossed "MRA A/c" or "Account Payee Only" may be sent by post and should reach MRA on 28 December 2011 at latest. Please write your name, Tax Account Number (TAN) and “CPS Quarter June 2011” on verso of Cheque. Under no circumstances should payment of cash be inserted in envelope.

 

 
3.
Due Date  

The return should be submitted at latest on 28 December 2011.

 
4.
Change in Personal Data  

In case there is a change in your residential address or any other personal data, please fill in a "Change in Personal Data Form", available here and send to MRA.
