ACTIVITIES & EXPECTED RESULTS OF DCP II
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Delivery by NSAs of high quality projects in pursuit of poverty reduction through the use of more participative methods;
- Increasing the capacity of NSAs to address poverty issues and participate effectively in poverty alleviation programmes;
- Setting up of an appropriate monitoring and evaluation system that is participative and oriented to learning, so that NSAs/NGOs can adequately monitor project implementation;
- Building the capacity of NSAs to effectively participate in dialogue and engage with key decision-makers on poverty issues;
- Management of DCP II and complementarity with other on-going poverty alleviation programmes.
EXPECTED RESULTS
- DCP II is managed and implemented efficiently and effectively in complementarity with other ongoing empowerment and poverty alleviation programmes;
- NSAs are able to initiate high quality projects in pursuit of poverty reduction through the use of more participative methods;
- NSAs have increased capacity to address poverty issues and participate effectively in poverty alleviation programmes;
- An appropriate monitoring and evaluation system is set up that is participative and oriented to learning, so that NSAs/NGOs can adequately monitor project implementation;
- NSAs effectively participate in dialogue and engage with key decision-makers on poverty issues.
