
1. What kind of ICT Literacy and Awareness Programme does the NCB offer ?
The cyber caravan is serving schools, community centres, and the public at large. Normally, there are four types of training programmes which are as follows:

2. Who is eligible for the ICT Literacy Programme ?
Everyone is welcome from school children to senior citizens, housewives, unemployed and the disabled. The Cyber Caravan aims at providing ICT initiation to people with little or no ICT Skills.
3. I am an unemployed and want to follow courses in the Cyber Caravan. What are the procedures to register for a course?
The NCB provides training for unemployed in different districts whereby, interested participants need to fill a registration form available at the NCB or can be downloaded from our website. The participants who have filled and submitted their registration form will be contacted for training when the Cyber Caravan will be visiting the district in which he or she resides.

All the courses offered in the Cyber Caravan are MQA Approved
6. What is
e-Government?
E-Government consists in the electronic delivery of quality
services to citizens and the business community whilst at the same
time facilitating inter-governmental and intra-governmental
exchange of information in an effective and efficient manner.
7. What is
the Government Online Centre?
The Government Online Centre (GOC) is one main component of the
e-government initiative and is the key infrastructure which
enables e-government. The GOC acts as an IT infrastructure service
provider for government institutions to ensure 24*7*365 secure
online government services to citizens, businesses and government.

The NCB
Resource Centre is located

from 09.00 to 16.00 hrs from Monday to Friday.

The NCB has
developed an
Online Database of ICT operators
in
Mauritius to provide
online and updated information on operators in the ICT sector in
Mauritius.

I have a business idea in the ICT sector
and would like to start a venture, where do I start?
Having a business idea is a start – but you need proper planning
before implementing the business idea. A business plan is
important as it will help you look at the different aspects of
business including financing, human resource, marketing,
management of business and planning.
13. How can the NCB assist in the preparation of the business
plan?
The Management team at the
ICT Incubator Centre
can assist you to formulate your business plan and provide
guidelines and references.
14. Is there any support for enterprises starting a business in
the ICT sector?
The National Computer Board has set up an ICT Incubator Centre
which provides infrastructural, logistics and business support to
