 Draft Code of Business Conduct for Insurers and Intermediaries

Public Consultation (CP 011004)

 

The Financial Services Commission is the regulator for all non-bank financial services in Mauritius.

 

As the regulator for the insurance industry the Commission is issuing for public consultation a draft Code of Business Conduct for Insurers and Intermediaries
(CP 011004).

 

The Code defines the standards of business conduct and ethical behaviour on behalf of insurers, agents and salespersons to ensure market confidence and consumer interests are adequately safeguarded.

 

The draft Code is available for consultation and can be downloaded from the FSC website by clicking here.

 

Insurance companies, market intermediaries, consumer associations and members of the public who may wish to respond to the consultation process may send their comments by
e-mail using the pro-forma response facilities available in the consultation paper.
