Shopping hours in our main cities range from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm (Monday - Saturday). Some shops are open till noon on Sundays and public holidays. Many duty free shops and modern shopping centres (Caudan, Curepipe, Floréal Square, Happy World House, Orchard Centre) offer a wide choice of products.

Shopping Centres do not open on Thursday afternoon.

Grand' Baie

Twenty kilometres north of Port Louis, Grand' Baie, is a charming village with white sand beaches, is among the main tourist resorts on the island.

It has a host of hotels, restaurants, craftworks shops and shopping centres, namely the Sunset Boulevard, the Super U/Richmond Complex and the Grand Baie Bazaar. There are also arcades, model boat shops and a great variety of clothing boutiques and stores along Royal Road, Grand' Baie.

Port Louis

Port Louis, the capital city of Mauritius, is also an ideal place for shopping. The Caudan Waterfront - Port Louis Waterfront, overlooking the harbour is one of the newest and most impressive of Port Louis' shopping centres with duty free shops and branches of the most prestigious names in Mauritius. The handicrafts market offers a large selection of locally made crafts.

The Air Mauritius Centre and the Happy World Centre, two other main shopping areas,are also located in Port Louis.
