The current annual activities of the Centre are focussed on:
 1 February - The commemoration of the Abolition of Slavery including the following recurrent features: Wreath laying ceremony at “Monument aux Esclaves”, Pte. Canon, Mahebourg; official messages and a cultural show on the theme of Freedom.
25 May - Africa Day
16 June - Day of African Child
21 June - Music Day
18 July - Birthday of Nelson Mandela
17 August - SADC Day
23 August - International Day for Remembrance of Slave Trade and its Abolition
28 October - “Journée Internationale Créole
7 November - International Day for African Writers
December - Christmas Song Competition
The participation of the Centre is also sought for other activities in connection with specific events.
