  1. Is dentures grant still being provided by the Trust Fund?
    No - dentures grant has been stopped by the Trust Fund since July 2005. The Ministry of Social Security caters for that facility

  2. What is the Financial Year of the Trust Fund?
    The Financial year of the Trust Fund starts on the 1 July and ends on the 30 June every year.

  3. Are Ex-Servicemen who are not registered with the Trust Fund can still register?
    Yes - any person who have served in the Army during the Second World War (1939 to 1956) and who are not in receipt of any assistance from the Trust Fund can still register.
  4. Can the monthly pension of an Ex-Serviceman be stopped once granted?
    The monthly pension is paid on a continuous basis. However Ex-Servicemen receiving their pension through banks are required to file a life certificate every year. Failing to do so could result in the cancellation of the pension.
  5. Are widows of Ex-Servicemen who are not registered with the Trust Fund can still register?
    Yes, registratrion of widows is on-going and it can be done at any Citizen Advice Bureau of the Island and at the Trust Fund.
  6. Do the heirs of a widow are entiltled to a funeral grant in case the widow passing away?
    Yes, a funeral grant of Rs 1,351 is payable in case of the demise of a widow since July 2008.
  7. Do widows are entitled to Pension, Surgical grant, Medical Treatment, Spectacles and Hearing Aid?
    No, widows are not entitled to these grants apart from a yearly widow's grant and medical grant. However widows who do not claim for medical grant may opt to claim for the above grants in lieu of the medical grant up to the approved rate of Rs 1,351.
