Infotech 2011
The NCB organised the 18th edition of Infotech from 24 to 27 November 2011 at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre, Pailles. The theme for the event was “Shaping the Digital Economy”.
The main components of Infotech 2011 were the ICT Exhibition, Job Fair, Gaming Zones, Career Guidance Corner and Green ICT Zone and comprised 51 Exhibitors and 15 Participants in the Job Fair.
Over 80,000 people visited Infotech 2011.

Directory of ICT Companies in Mauritius (3rd edition)
The Directory will display profiles of ICT Companies in Mauritius and aims at:
- Marketing local ICT Companies abroad;
- Providing potential investors, outsourcers & business partners with information on ICT products, services and solutions that are offered by Mauritian companies;
- Fostering partnerships between foreign and local ICT Companies
The Directory will be an invaluable marketing and reference tool.

Cyber Security Conference
On the occasion of Computer Security Day, the National Computer Board/CERT-MU organised a Cyber Security Conference at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre on 30th November 2011. The target audience was Business Executives, Senior Management and Information Security Professionals. The Cyber Security Conference was officially opened by the Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Hon. Tassarajen Pillay Chedumbrum.

Workshop on new portal technology and infrastructure
The National Computer Board has awarded the contract for the revamping of the portal technology & infrastructure to FRCI Ltd. To this effect, a workshop was organised at Ebene CyberTower 1 on 09th November 2011 to present the new technology to the stakeholders and officially sign the contract agreement between the 2 organisations.

ICT Expo 2011
The 1st edition of ICT Expo was held from Saturday 6 to Sunday 7 August 2011 at Rivière des Anguilles Community Centre.
Over 5,000 people visited the event.
The 2nd edition of ICT Expo was held from Saturday 20 to Sunday 21 August 2011 at Rivière du Rempart Youth Centre.
Over 7,500 people visited the event.

World Telecommunication and Information Society Day 2011
The ‘Get Online Week’ was launched by Hon. T P Chedumbrum, Minister of ICT on 17th May 2011 at Goodlands Post Office. The ‘Get Online Week’ was organised by the National Computer Board in collaboration with Mauritius Post Limited to mark the World Telecommunication & Information Society Day (WTISD). The theme for WTISD 2011 is: "Better life in rural communities with ICTs". The objective of this theme is to ensure that ICTs will contribute to a better future for our rural populations as they are the least connected to the benefits of ICTs.
